Heat Treatment

We conduct heat treatment processes for alteration of the physical and sometimes the chemical properties of the materials. This service is made available to our customers.

Heat Treatment Techniques Conducts

Annealing - To increase material ductility and reduce its hardness for ease of workability and machining purposes. The material will be heated above its recrystallization temperature, maintaining a suitable temperature for an amount of time, and then cooling.
Hardening - Hardening is desirable for metal components that are subject to sliding contact with hard or abrasive materials, as the hardened metal is more resistant to surface wear.
Normalizing is a heat treatment process that alters the microstructure of a material to change its mechanical or electrical properties. Typically it aims to give steel a uniform and fine grain structure. After casting a steel microstructure is often inhomogeneous consisting of large grain and unwanted bainite and carbides. After normalizing a more fine-grain homogeneous structure is obtained.
